The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has extended the
* Flood Warning for... Northeastern Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia...
* Until 215 AM EST.
* At 1202 AM EST, stream gauges continue to indicate that flooding is occurring on Back Creek. At 1145 PM, the gauge at Jones Springs on Back Creek was at 11.83 feet and falling. At this level, Dry Run Road floods and water is near Daisy Lane. Other streams in the area may also be experiencing flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BERKELEY, WV
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
