EPD arrest robbery suspect

On 12/15/2018 approximately 9:25 PM, Officers responded to Gamestop for a report of a robbery of the store. Store employees provided a suspect description and told officers the suspect was armed with a firearm. An officer searched the area for the suspect and located a possible suspect in West Oakland. The possible suspect hid from the officer and then ran throwing an object into a commercial yard. The possible suspect was detained and then positively identified as the robbery suspect by store employees.

Officers located the stolen cash on the suspect. Officers also located a loaded firearm in the commercial yard where the suspect threw the object into. Store employees identified the recovered firearm as the same one used in the robbery. The suspect was arrested for robbery and gun possession charges. Suspect was identified as Donald Jackson.
