Suffolk County Police today arrested a Wyandanch man for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a woman in West Babylon early this morning.
 
Jose Gonzalez was driving a 2012 Honda southbound in the northbound lanes of Straight Path, near Gordon Avenue, when his vehicle collided with a northbound 2009 Mercedes Benz, driven by Baldwin Henry, 54, of Dix Hills.
 
Gonzalez and Henry were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries. Olga Membreno, 36, of Wyandanch, a passenger in the Honda, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
 
Gonzales, 26, of Brooklyn Ave., Wyandanch, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He will be scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip today.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
