FRAUD ALERT FOR BUSINESSES: Multiple reports being made of threats via email to businesses demanding $20,000 in Bitcoins. 
The Farmington Hills Police Department is currently investigating numerous reports of threats made to local businesses via email. The email demands payment of $20,000 to be made by Bitcoin. These messages are part of an ongoing nationwide fraud. Businesses throughout the country have reported receiving similar threats. At this time the threats are not believed to be credible. If you receive a threatening email requesting payment of any kind do not respond, but contact your local police department.
