UPDATED: On December 12, 2018, at approximately 6:00p.m. Shorewood Police Officers were dispatch to the 4000 BLK N. Farwell Ave for a report of a theft credit cards by a known subject. It was determined through the investigation a strong arm robbery occurred inside the residence. The known suspect to the victim took the credit cards and fled from the scene prior to the police arriving in the area. The suspect involved was identified as a suspect in other thefts in Shorewood and other jurisdictions. The suspect attempts to gain entry by asking if they can use the bathroom and or tries to collect donations for church organizations. The suspect will attempt to take credit cards, purses, etc. if allowed inside residence.

As a reminder we are encouraging residents not to allow anyone into their home if they do not know the person and contact the police to investigate the need for the suspect to enter the home or if they feel it is suspicious in nature. Additionally, we are actively investigating this incident and are referring criminal charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office

There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
