On 12/7/18, Thousand Oaks Patrol Deputies received a call of a residential burglary in the 800 Block of St. Charles Drive.  The initial investigation conducted by patrol deputies revealed that an unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment.  The victim was awakened by her barking dog, got out of bed, and saw the suspect inside her living room.  The suspect yelled out to another family member causing the suspect to flee.  Patrol deputies located additional witnesses who provided suspect information.

That morning, detectives from the Thousand Oaks Police Station and the Directed Enforcement Unit conducted follow-up and determined the suspect was Ryan Doran of Ventura.  Information led detectives to believe Doran was at the Thousand Oaks Mall.  Detectives located Doran in the Thousand Oaks Mall parking lot near the AMC movie theater where he was taken into custody and booked into Ventura County Jail for burglary.

The District Attorney’s office file one count of first degree burglary and numerous special enhancements.  Doran remains in custody and his bail is set at $110,000.00.  His next court date is 12/20/2018.
