Multi-Vehicle auto accident occurred just South of North Marietta Parkway on I-75 Southbound several hours ago. An Infinity and a Pick-up truck collided, causing both vehicles to spin out of control. The pick-up truck was then struck by a tractor trailer. A passenger from the pick-up truck did not survive the accident. At least one additional person was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
DOT is assisting Marietta police officers on scene and the entire roadway is expected to be closed for another hour or two. All traffic is being diverted onto Cobb Parkway (Highway 41) and North Marietta Parkway (N. Loop).
EXPECT SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC DELAYS AS RUSH HOUR BUILDS.
