Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00PM Wednesday

Freezing drizzle to snow will spread across portions of the area early Wednesday morning, exiting by the afternoon. The greater threat for a light glaze of ice will lie across northeast Iowa through southwest into central Wisconsin. The precipitation will start out as a 1 to 3 hour period of freezing drizzle, mixing with then changing over to snow. The precipitation could end as a brief period of freezing drizzle before ending toward the noon hour. Ice accumulations under 1/10 of an inch are expected with snow under 1 inch. The Wednesday commute will be impacted for many, especially those in northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin. Anticipate slippery, slow travel - especially on secondary and untreated roads.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Snow up to 1 inch and icing up to 1/10 of an inch expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest into central Wisconsin, northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota.
