Search of probationer turns up .5 gram of methamphetamine 
Lt. Chris Taylor of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged John Coye Banks Jr., 35, address listed as Johnny Banks Drive in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine.
Taylor assisted state probation officers with a search of Banks’s residence on Friday, Nov. 9. While on probation, Banks is subject to warrantless searches.
Officers located .5 gram of meth in the suspect’s possession.
