Noise Complaint leads to Underage Drinking Party

DATE/TIME: December 8th at 11:45 pm

LOCATION: Cypress Avenue Residence

OFFICERS: Detective Michael Legg, Sergeant Jeff Malone along with Police Officer Brendan Bernhard and with the assistance of Long Branch Police Department and Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department.

NARRATIVE:

On December 8th, 2018 at approximately 11:45 pm, officers responded to a noise complaint at a residence located on Cypress Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a large party was in progress where alcohol was being consumed by persons under the age of 21. Officers determined that several partygoers were under the age of 21 had been drinking while at the residence. Partially consumed alcoholic beverages were scattered throughout the residence.

Upon further investigation the tenants of the residence were identified as Christopher Clemente, Dominic Pizzulli, James Watson, Ian Beck, Christopher Hervada and Colin Allen. All six individuals were subsequently taken into custody and brought to the Township of Ocean Police Headquarters for processing.

Clemente, Pizzulli, Watson, Beck, Hervada and Allen were charged with providing a place for underage people to consume alcohol. In addition to that Beck and Clemente were also charged with receiving stolen property when police found 2 street signs in the residence that were discovered to be the property of the Township of Ocean. All were released on criminal complaint summonses and scheduled to appear at a future court hearing.

Police also issued township ordinance violations to four (8) partygoers for consuming alcoholic beverages while under the legal age on private property.
