Rocky Kidwell is arrested after a 15 mile pursuit on his motorcycle

LOCATION: Southbound Interstate 15 and Old Highway 58
SUSPECT: Rocky Dewayne Kidwell, 30 years old, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On December 5, 2018, at approximately 5:13 p.m., Deputy Kenneth Bubier and Deputy Michael McCray attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle on the southbound Interstate 15 near Old Highway 58. The driver failed to stop and continued westbound on Old Highway 58, swerving in and out of traffic at high speeds for approximately fifteen miles.
As the driver traveled southbound on Hinkley Road from Old Highway 58, he attempted to take a sharp turn at the same high speeds and lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed near Community Boulevard and the driver attempted to flee on foot. He was detained by the deputies and identified as Rocky Dewayne Kidwell. Kidwell was currently on probation in Barstow and was arrested for evading a peace officer as well as an unrelated warrant.
