News Release: Man Exposes Himself to Female Cyclist

A woman riding her bicycle was the victim of indecent exposure that occurred during the day. The male suspect was in a car next to her. He remains at large.

On Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:15 a.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a report of indecent exposure that had just occurred in the 1200 block of Sand Hill Road. A woman in her twenties was riding her bike northbound on Pasteur Drive approaching Sand Hill Road. The investigation revealed as she approached Sand Hill Road and stopped for a red traffic light, she looked to her left and saw a driver who had his pants down. The suspect was masturbating and looking at her. When the light turned green, the suspect turned on Sand Hill Road heading westbound.

The victim describes the suspect as a white male in his thirties with brown hair and patchy facial hair. He was driving a white Nissan Leaf.

Detectives are actively investigating. They do not believe this indecent exposure is related to the case that occurred on November 19 on East Meadow Drive. The news release for that case can be found at https://www.cityofpaloalto.org/civica/press/display.asp?layout=1&Entry=1663.
