Deputies arrest a suspect for stabbing a man multiple times

INCIDENT: PC 245 - Assault with a Weapon
LOCATION: Mountain View and Barton Road, Loma Linda
SUSPECT: Christopher Silvas, 31 years old, resident of Riverside
SUMMARY:
On October 19, 2018, Loma Linda patrol deputies responded to Loma Linda University Medical Center, Emergency Room, to contact a victim of a stabbing. Deputy Hogue contacted the victim who stated he was stabbed multiple times by an unknown subject in the area of Mountain View and Barton Road, Loma Linda. Hogue conducted his investigation and identified the subject as Christopher Silvas, who was on Parole for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Investigators authored a warrant for Silvas' arrest for the stabbing.
On December 4, 2018, Service Specialist Herrera was conducting Loma Linda duties when she observed a subject matching the description of Silvas in the area of Mountain View and Barton Road. Herrera contacted Detectives and they conducted an area check for Silvas. Deputy Angelini located Silvas near Mountain View and Barton Road and he was taken into custody for the Assault with a Deadly Weapon warrant and booked into Central Detention Center.
