INCIDENT: Solicitation for Prostitution
 
LOCATION: 72000 Block of Hwy. 62, Twentynine Palms
 
SUSPECT(S): Four male adult suspects, ranging in age from 21-48 years of age and all residents of San Bernardino County.
 
SUMMARY:
On Friday, November 30, 2018 at about 12:00 pm, the San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force, in a combined effort with detectives from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station,  conducted an in-call motel "John" operation. The operation is part of an ongoing effort through heavy presence and enforcement, to suppress prostitution throughout the desert communities of San Bernardino County, by targeting purchasers (Johns). During the operation, undercover officers were deployed at a local motel to pose as prostitutes through on-line advertisements. As a result, the officers were contacted and solicited for acts of prostituion by several male suspects. Upon their arrival at the location, the suspects were taken into custody. After being invterviewed and processed, all four suspects were transported and booked at the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station for violation of PC 647(b)(2)- (Sex Buyer) Solicitation for Prostitution.
 
The San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force is made up of investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office, San Bernardino Police Department, Ontario Police Department, San Bernardino Unified School District Police, California State Parole, Office of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
