INCIDENT: Grand Theft / Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

LOCATION: Phelan Road x Sheep Creek Road

SUSPECT(S): Timothy Langdo, 27, resident of Phelan
Robert Christopherson, 27 years old, resident of Victorville
Heather Smith, 33 years old, resident of Phelan

VICTIM(S): Phelan Community Service District, G&M Towing

SUMMARY:
On November 24, 2018, at 2:30 a.m., two male subjects entered the Phelan Community Service District parking lot in a two-tone Ford Ranger. The subjects removed a mounted toolbox, tailgate, and tail lights from one of the Phelan CSD vehicles. The theft was captured on video surveillance and reported later that morning. Deputies reviewed the video and noticed the very distinct two-tone paint from the Ford Ranger, but due to the lighting in the video they were unable to determine the true color of the vehicle.

The following week deputies searched for the vehicle, and at 5:00 a.m. on December 1st Deputy Joseph Mora located the two-tone Ford Ranger in the AM/PM parking lot on Phelan Road and Sheep Creek Road in Phelan. The vehicle was actually red and white and occupied by Robert Christopherson. A check of the registration revealed the Ford Ranger was stolen from G&M Towing in October 2018.

Christopherson was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and later booked for Grand Theft reference the stolen items from the Phelan CSD. He was booked at High Desert Detention Center and is being held on $125,000 bail.

During the investigation, several items taken during the Phelan CSD theft were recovered in El Mirage including the tailgate. Timothy Langdo and Heather Smith were both arrested and booked for outstanding warrants. Langdo and Smith have been released from custody.
