WOOLSEY STORM SAFETY MESSAGE

WHAT: WOOLSEY STORM SAFETY MESSAGE

WHEN: NOVEMBER 28, 2018 – NOVEMBER 29th, 2018

WHERE: Due to the forecast of rain for the Los Angeles County region, there is a heightened potential for post-fire mud & debris flows within the Woolsey Fire burn area. Mud and debris flows are extremely unpredictable, and streets can be flooded or completely blocked by debris during a storm.

If you are in the burn area you should have a plan set if an evacuation order is made.

• Review evacuation routes, plan multiple routes out of your neighborhood.

• Prepare your family and animals for travel and extended stay away from home.

• Put your emergency supply kit in your vehicle.

• Back your car into the driveway and have a full tank of gas.

• Check in with neighbors and make sure they have a plan.

• Stay vigilant, monitor conditions and keep abreast of the situation.

• Evacuate when told to.

If you feel unsafe or believe you or your home is in danger, don’t wait for an evacuation order, leave the area.
