*2nd UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Investigators Make an Arrest in the Stabbing Death of a Man on the Duarte Pax

Late last night Homicide Bureau Investigators arrested suspect Peter Munoz for the stabbing death of a man on the Duarte Pax. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 11:35 a.m., on the 1600 Block of East Duarte Road, Duarte.
 
The victim, male Asian 62 years old, was pronounce dead at the scene.
 
The arrest comes after investigators conducted interviews of witnesses and viewed surveillance video in the area. The motive for the incident is unknown at this time.
 
Suspect Peter Munoz is a male Hispanic 51 years-old, and resident of Commerce. He was arrested for murder and is currently being held with No Bail.
 
The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE BELOW:

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing death of a male adult victim.  The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at 11:35 A.M., on the 1600 Block of East Duarte Rd., Duarte.

Deputies assigned to Temple Station and Transit Services Bureau responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service at the Duarte Pax.  Upon their arrival, deputies located the victim with an apparent stab wound to the upper torso.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Deputies detained a male adult at the location that may be the suspect. 

A weapon was recovered at the scene.

There is no known motive for the crime at this time.
