Driver arrested for driving under the influence after losing control and crashing into a business

INCIDENT: Driving Under the Influence / Non-injury traffic collision
LOCATION: 21691 Yucca Loma Road, Town of Apple Valley
SUSPECT: David Joseph Miller, 29 years old, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On November 23, 2018 at 7:39 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to the Sunrise Donuts business at 21691 Yucca Loma Road reference a traffic collision. Deputies arrived to find a white Chevy Astro van inside the business. For unknown reasons, David Joseph Miller, lost control of his vehicle, colliding into the glass front, and coming to rest inside the donut shop. Miller was found to be under the influence of drugs and ultimately arrested for driving under the influence. The donut shop was closed at the time and there were no injuries.
