Several residents report receiving notification from a company requesting donations for painting addresses on curbs. This company has not been authorized by the city of Monterey Park to conduct this activity. The city has contracted with a authorized company that will be painting addresses on the curbsin the future, but they will not be seeking donations. If you are contacted by someone seeking a donation for street curb painting do not give them money. Please contact the police department so that officers may contact the persons that are doing this.
