EPD arrest suspects in attempted armed robbery
On 11/22/2018 approximately 1130PM, Officers responded to the area of 40th St and Hollis Street on the report an attempted armed robbery of a person. The victim was able to provide a suspect description and identified the suspect vehicle as it drove around in the area. Officers attempted to make an enforcement stop on the vehicle and a brief pursuit ensued. The suspect vehicle collided with a parked vehicle in Oakland. One of the three occupants fled on foot while the other two remained in the vehicle. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspect discarded a loaded firearm. Officers subsequently apprehended the outstanding suspect and the firearm was recovered at the scene. The suspects were treated for their injuries sustained as a result of the collision. The suspects were arrested for attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, resisting arrest, multiple gun charges and felony evading.
