SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 28, 2018, in the early morning hours, a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from a parking lot in the 1900 block of Clary Drive in Needles. The vehicle was then used in armed robberies in Bullhead City, AZ. and Laughlin, NV. Detectives from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, Bullhead City Police Department and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department began working together to develop information to identify the suspects involved.
The vehicle was found abandoned in Needles on Monday, October 29th. The vehicle was processed for evidence and returned to its owner. Evidence collected from the vehicle identified Christian Twobulls as a suspect. A search warrant was obtained for Twobulls’ residence. Due to the violent nature of the crime being investigated, the Sheriff Department’s Special Enforcement Division (SWAT) was tasked with serving the search warrant.
On Wednesday, November 14th, the Special Enforcement Division served the search warrant and located Christian Twobulls. Twobulls attempted to flee on foot. During the foot pursuit, Twobulls threw a gun which he had in his possession. Detectives from Las Vegas Metro Police and Bullhead City Police assisted in the search of Twobulls’ residence and in conducting interviews.
