INCIDENT: Murder Investigation

LOCATION: Mesa Oro Drive/Conejo Street, Victorville

SUSPECTS: Daezashon Keith Decatur, age 18, Deshawn Rogers, age 20 both residents of Victorville

VICTIM: Levi Blood, 23 years old, resident of Victorville

On Monday, November 19, 2018, following an extensive investigation, detectives arrested Daezashon Decatur and Deshawn Rogers for the murder of Levi Blood.

Through investigation, detectives determined the suspects and the victim were known to each other. Detectives believe that during a drug transaction, an attempted robbery occurred between the suspects and the victim that led to the shooting death of the victim, Levi Blood.

The investigation is ongoing and Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting, or anyone with information related to the investigation to contact the Homicide Detail, Detective Laing at (909)387-3589. On Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10:19 p.m. deputies responded to a 911 call of a shooting in the area of Mesa Oro Drive and Conejo Street. Deputies and medical aid responded and found the male victim down in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives learned that the victim, identified as Levi Blood, was outside of his vehicle speaking with a couple of unidentified men when a witness heard gunshots and then found the victim unresponsive in the street.
