Man wanted on warrants also found with meth 
Deputy Steven McPeters of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Richard Leon Stroupe, 57, of 731 Cherokee Way in Marion, with possession of methamphetamine.
On Sunday, Nov. 4, deputies responded to Stroupe’s residence to serve him with a couple of outstanding warrants.
While taking the suspect into custody, authorities located .50 gram of meth on Stroupe’s person.
