Deputies are investigating a single vehicle traffic collision that occurred November 18th at Hwy 18 and Tao Rd

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: State Highway 18 / Tao Road, Apple Valley
DRIVER: Withheld, pending next of kin notification
VEHICLE: Gray 1989 Toyota Camry
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, November 18, 2018, at approximately 2:25 a.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Station responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. When deputies arrived on the scene, they determined a gray 1989 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on State Highway 18 and for an unknown went off the roadway hitting a cement drainage culvert. The Toyota overturned landing on its roof. Witnesses attempted to render aid to the driver of the Toyota, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and the victim died on scene.
The collision is currently under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley Station. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Thomas Bechtol at 760-240-7400.
