WOOLSEY FIRE REPOPULATION OF POINT DUME 24-hour notice

The anticipated re-population efforts in the following areas are subject to change. Based on current work being performed to restore services and provide for public safety, these anticipated timelines may be adjusted. The Incident Management Team is working diligently to keep the public informed of the anticipated dates that the impacted areas will open to the public. We appreciate your patience, especially in light of the emotional strain that this event has placed on our community.

LOS ANGELES (Sat., Nov. 17, 2018) - The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the repopulation of the following areas impacted by the #WoolseyFire - effective Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

The following areas inside of the City of Malibu will be opened beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday:

This will include the following areas of the Malibu Colony Cove neighborhood:

o From the ocean (south)
o Malibu City limit (north)
o Paradise Cove Road (east)
o Guernsey Avenue (west)

EXCEPTION: Latigo Canyon Road and Corral Canyon Road from Pacific Coast Highway to the Malibu City limit will be open. Areas north of those locations will remain closed.

NOTICE: LASD will be maintaining a checkpoint for residents entering this newly opened area on Pacific Coast Highway and Paradise Cove Road, and will be requiring identification. Access to the area west of the checkpoint will be limited to residents only.

Simply visit the link and enter an address for the #WoolseyFire area in the search field and press enter. You can then scroll out on the map to determine if the indicated area has a red or green background. Red indicates the area is still closed and unsafe to return. Green indicates the area is open for repopulation. In addition to the map, the below written descriptions of the areas to be opened has been provided.
