Deputy involved in a minor injury traffic collision while responding to a domestic violence call.

INCIDENT: Minor Injury Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road, Victorville
SUMMARY: On November 13, 2018, a deputy from the Victorville Police Department was in route to assist the Victor Valley College Police, on a domestic violence call, when he was involved in a traffic collision.
The deputy was traveling east bound on Bear Valley Road, with emergency lights and siren activated. As he approached Dunia Road, he crossed into the west bound lane and collided with an oncoming GMC Sierra pickup truck. The collision caused the GMC to be pushed into a 2010 Pontiac G6, which was traveling behind the GMC.
The driver of the GMC complained of pain to his head, neck, and back. The juvenile passenger in the GMC complained of pain to his head. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Pontiac had no complaints of pain and refused medical treatment at the scene. The deputy received injuries to his arm and hand and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
