A 20-year-old Rialto man turns himself in after robbing a Taco Bell

LOCATION: 18700 block of Valley Boulevard, Bloomington
SUSPECT: Sidney Spaulding, 20 years of age a resident of Rialto
VICTIM: Taco Bell
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, November 13th, at approximately 6:18 p.m. a black male adult entered the business and placed an order at the counter. When the clerk rang up his order, the subject reached over the counter and grabbed a large amount of cash from the register. The subject fled the store and drove off in a compact silver vehicle. A witness at the location, followed the vehicle and called 9-1-1.
Fontana Station Deputies responded and located the vehicle involved in the robbery, unlocked and unoccupied at the end of a cul-de-sac. Deputies gathered information and evidence at the location of the robbery and the location of the vehicle, that identified Sidney Spaulding as the person responsible for the crime. A search was conducted, but Spaulding was not located in the area. An arrest warrant was issued for Spaulding and sent to other law enforcement agencies.
The following night, on Wednesday, November 14th, at approximately 11:12 p.m. Spaulding turned himself in to police. Spaulding was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for robbery.
