NWS ISSUES WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BERGEN COUNTY FROM 1 PM THURSDAY UNTIL 4 AM FRIDAY - Snow will begin to overspread the area around midday Thursday and continue through the evening before changing over to rain. Total snowfall amounts are expected to be from a trace to up to 2 inches. The snow is expected to change over to freezing rain, then rain in the late evening and overnight hours, as the temperature steadily rises above freezing. Rain will continue through midday Friday. Wind speeds 10-15 mph, Gusts up to 25 mph. Winds and snow/ice build-up may cause downed trees creating scattered power outages.
