WINTER REMINDERS

WINTER PARKING

Parking of any vehicle on any portion of a public road, street or highway is prohibited whenever snow, sleet, hail, ice or freezing rain has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the public road, street or highway in the Township of Tewksbury.

Said parking prohibition shall remain in effect after the snow, sleet, hail, ice or freezing rain has ceased and until the streets, roads or highways have been cleared sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.

SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL

All sidewalks or walking areas of public streets and highways must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours after the storm.

It is the responsibility of property owners to ensure that NO snow or ice is placed in the traveled surface, shoulder or any portion of the right-of-way of any street or road.

Please clear a path to and around any fire hydrants near your home. It is the responsibility of property owners whose property contains a fire hydrant or stand pipe to clear such hydrant or stand pipe within 24 hours of any snow coverage of such hydrant or stand pipe.
