Fairfield Police Bringing "Mobile" Station into the Community
The Fairfield Police Department will be bringing their new Mobile Command Post out into the Community starting Thursday, November 15, 2018. The department recently took delivery of the Command Post. The vehicle is designed to serve as the center of operations during sustained critical incidents. It is outfitted with computers and radios to support the mission of resolving these incidents.
Because of the special equipment, the Command Post also enabled the Police Department to come out into our community and serve as a temporary "Pop up" police station, where officers will be available to the public to take reports, answer questions, and address any other concerns anyone may have.
The first run of the "pop up" station will be Thursday, November 15, from 10am to 6pm at Bethel Community Church. All members of the Fairfield community are invited to stop by and say hello! Members of various PD units, including patrol, Community Services, and Code Enforcement will be on hand.
Future dates and locations will be announced soon. Please come on by and let us know how we can work together to keep our community safe.
