                Deputy Robert Watson of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Bryan Kevin Lowery Sr., 49, of 154 Gurleigh Loop in Marion, with counterfeiting and obtaining property by false pretense.
                An employee of Dollar General, on N.C. 126 in Nebo, reported that someone passed a fake $100 bill and received five $20 bills in return on Monday, Oct. 22.
                On Tuesday, Oct. 23, the suspect returned to the store, and deputies were notified.
                Watson reviewed the video footage from the previous day, determined it was the same man and took Lowery into custody.
