DETAILS:  The WWPD and WWPBA #271 have teamed up again for another awareness campaign, “Movember”.  Usually, you will see WWPD Police Officers being clean shaven with the exception of a well-groomed mustache.  However, for the Month of November, 2018 Chief Garofalo has relaxed those orders for a very special cause, Movember, and bringing to light Men’s Health Awareness.  In the U.S., 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.  The initiative is from November 1-30, 2018, and you will very quickly see male Officers with growing facial hair.  In addition, our female Officers are joining in by either having blue hair and/or blue fingernails to support Movember.  To participate, each Officer will make a $100 donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (pcf.org), which was selected by WW PBA #271 as the partner organization for the Movember Movement.  If you would like to sponsor any of our Officers, please go to (pcf.org) and search for the “West Windsor Police Department”team.  If anyone would like more information about the program please go to Movember.com or email Ptl. Nagy at [email protected]

Chief Garofalo & President Nagy are also announcing a contest and are soliciting help from our community.  We will posting “AFTER” pictures on on the WWPD Facebook Page.  **Please indicate on our Facebook Page starting on December 1, 2018, which Officer’s “new look” you liked best.  We’re looking for alot of votes and tons of awareness!  We will hold the voting until 11:59 pm on December 4, 2018 and announce shortly thereafter.  Chief Garofalo & President Nagy will each be giving a special gift to the winner!  (A New Razor!!!)
