This Nixle is to correct a recent social media post stating Mandatory residential evacuations had been ordered and were taking place. This information is incorrect. For clarification, the Simi Valley Police Department and the Ventura County Fire Department have not ordered any Mandatory evacuations regarding the brushfire this morning.
Non-residents are urged to remain out of the area to assist in alleviating traffic congestion from the fire.
