The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

November 1st

1118 Hours: Officer Pacheco contacted and arrested a 19-year-old male out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

1118 Hours: Officers responded to Citi Bank for a forgery in progress. Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 21-year-old male out of Fremont for forgery, possession of stolen property and burglary. Officer Mapes also arrested a 26-year-old male out of Citrus Heights for possession of stolen property and probation violation. Both were booked into Fremont Jail.

1532 Hours: Officer Rivera contacted and arrested a 21-year-old female out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released.

0219 Hours: Officer Losier contacted and arrested a 39-year-old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

November 3rd

0834 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 36-year-old transient male for being a parolee at large. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

1041 Hours: Officers Jackman and Mapes conducted a probation search and arrested a 56-year-old male out of Newark for possession of drug paraphernalia.

1115 Hours: A red Honda generator was stolen from a truck on Joaquin Murieta.

1922 Hours: Officers contacted and arrested a 24-year-old male out of Newark for being drunk in public and domestic battery. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

2237 Hours: Officer Damewood contacted and arrested a 39-year-old male out of Hayward for an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released.

2322 Hours: Officer Palacio contacted and arrested a 26-year-old transient for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

November 4th

2039 Hours: Officer Rivas contacted and arrested a 29-year-old male out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

November 5th

0942 Hours: Officer Quinonez contacted and arrested a 34-year-old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

0055 Hours: Officers contacted and arrested a 47-year-old male out of Fremont for being drunk in public. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

November 6th

0907 Hours: Officer Allum contacted and arrested a 20-year-old male out of Union City for possession of medication without a prescription. He was cited and released.

0939 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 51-year-old male out of Newark for displaying false registration stickers. His car was towed and he was cited and released.

1454 Hours: Officer Swadener contacted and arrested a 38-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

1845 Hours: Officer Swadener contacted and arrested a 25-year-old male out of Newark was possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

2104 Hours: Officer Norvell contacted and arrested a 22-year-old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

2315 Hours: Officer Johnson contacted and arrested a 27-year-old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

November 7th

2242 Hours: Officers Herrera, Cervantes and D. Johnson contacted and arrested a 21-year-old male out of Union City for battery, vandalism and resisting arrest.

November 8th

0835 Hours: Officer Hernandez contacted and arrested a 39-year-old male transient for an outstanding warrant and a 47-year-old male out of Fremont for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into Santa Rita.

1307 Hours: Officer Rivera contacted and arrested a 44-year-old male transient for possession of a concealed weapon. He was booked into Fremont Jail.

2046 Hours: Officers Wallace and San Pedro contacted and arrested a 48-year-old male out of Oakland for possession of a concealed weapon. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
