Suspect arrested for Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
On 07-16-18 at 12:52 a.m. the Janesville Police Department investigated a stabbing incident in the 1800 block of Green Forrest Run. The victim in that incident was attacked as he walked outside after leaving a friend’s home.
Detective Kyle Austin was able to determine that Shedrick Baldwin, 28 years old from Beloit, WI was the suspect in this crime. Although several attempts were made to apprehend Baldwin, he was able to elude arrest.
Today information was received that Baldwin was living in Racine, WI. Detectives Austin, Bechen and Stutika worked with assistance from the Racine Police Department to watch a house Baldwin was suspected to be visiting. Baldwin was observed leaving the house and was arrested. Baldwin will be held at the Racine County Jail awaiting court proceedings.
Arrested: Baldwin, Shedrick D. (28 years old, residing in Beloit, WI)
Charges: Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Probation Violation
