Roll On Over! PAL Skate Night set for Friday, November 16 at 7pm.

Roll On Over!
PAL Skate Night set for Friday, November 16 at 7pm.

The PAL Center will be putting away the basketballs and pulling out the disco lights for another Skate Night on Friday, November 16 from 7pm-10pm for a roller-skating Turkey Trot.   Skate nights include a live DJ, special events lighting, a glow gallery, karaoke, and of course, roller skates!  PAL members can join us for couple skate, reverse skate, roller skate games, old school beats plus todays hits with DJ DRMB.

Skaters who need a break, can check out the video games, watch a movie, or hang out with friends in the game lounge and enjoy slices of pie!

Roller skates are provided for free, thanks to the Matt Garcia Foundation.  Studies have shown that roller skating provides a complete aerobic workout and involves all of the body's muscles, especially the heart. Roller skating is equivalent to jogging in terms of health benefits-caloric consumption, reduction of body fat, and leg strength development. A PAL membership is required to participate.

This Turkey Trot themed skate night will include commemorative t-shirts for the first 50 students to skate the equivalent of a 5k!

The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Memberships are only $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm. The PAL Center is located at 2195 Union Ave in Fairfield.

The Fairfield PAL program offers Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis teens a place to grow, learn, and build the skills they need today and in the future. The year-round PAL Center offers teens a safe environment, supports working families and helps students achieve by giving them opportunities right now. The center is open Monday – Thursdays between 3pm and 9pm and Fridays from 3pm until 10:30pm.
