Evansville man arrested for driving on a suspended drivers license.

On November 6, 2018, at 5:32 a.m. Deputy Austin Farrington conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2001 Pontiac Grand Am for driving on an expired license plate on US 41 near Walnut Street in Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Farrington identified the driver as 43 year old Kenneth Colbert of Evansville, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Farrington ran Mr. Colbert through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Colbert’s operator’s license status was listed as Suspended Prior. At that point Mr. Colbert was placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Colbert was charged with Driving While Suspended Prior. He has since posted a $650 bond.

Deputy Farrington was assisted in his investigation by Sgt. John Fischer.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
