Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult which occurred on the 900 block of South Concourse Avenue, Los Angeles. The incident occurred on Wednesday November 7, 2018, at approximately 10:34 p.m.
Detectives have learned that East Los Angeles Station Deputies responded to the location regarding a call of a gunshot victim. Upon their arrival they located the victim who sustained at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with an unknown male Hispanic. During the course of the altercation, the suspect fired at least one round at the victim. After the shooting, the suspect fled in a white sedan southbound from the location and out of view.
At this time the motive for the crime is unknown.
The investigation is still ongoing.
