On November 7, 2018 at 5:46 PM, APD officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian in the 5300 block of East Amarillo Boulevard. A 9 year old male was crossing Amarillo Blvd from south to north, not at a cross walk. The juvenile was struck by a 2018 Dodge Ram truck, driven by a 71 year old male. The juvenile was taken to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
