DETAILS: On November 5, 2018 at about 9:00am Bass Master Fisherman Mr. Shawn O’Connell noticed that his 2019 Ford F350 pickup and 2018 Triton boat were both missing from the Hotel. The stolen truck, boat and other property were valued at approximately $300,000.
At approximately 3:00pm officers were dispatched to the 7700 block of I-40 on a shoplifter in custody. Officers arrested Jamie Luna for Theft of property <$100 with a previous conviction and for Debit/Credit card abuse. While officers were searching Luna they recovered approximately $1,000 in cash and other property that appeared to belong to Mr. O’Connell. When the officer was getting Luna out of the vehicle he noticed that she had dropped a key. The key was collected along with her property and it was determined that the key that Luna had in her possession went to the stolen F350, also located in her possession was some paperwork belonging to Mr. O’Connell on the truck and a key to the boat.
Officers from PABTU went back to the 7700 block of I-40 and located the stolen 2019 Ford F350. A short time later they recovered the 2018 Triton boat and other property in the 900 block of Cleveland.
