Adak Post Office Re-opening 
The Post Office will reopen on 11/6 under the following hours of operation:
Monday-Friday: Noon-1pm
Saturday: 11am-1pm
Sunday: 11am-2pm
Due to some final paperwork necessary for reopening we will not sell stamps or money orders until 11/7.

Effective at 1:00 PM today, the Post Office on Adak will be closed until further notice. While the City and USPS had hoped to have no closure, the process has ultimately led us to a point where the post office must be closed so that the City can reopen without causing a prolongued closure.
While we do not expect mail to arrive on October 27, if it does, the City will work with the USPS to ensure delivery of mail/packages. However, the window will not be open and no stamps or money services will be sold.
We expect the closure to last no more than a week, however please know that the City and USPS are attempting to make the closure as brief as possible.
