Suspect: Santos Estrada (In-custody)
On Thursday, November 1st, 2018, Redwood City Police Officers responded on a report of a male and female arguing. The male, identified as Santos Estrada (36 years old), fled prior to police arrival. The victim told officers she and the suspect (Estrada) had been married for 13 years and have two children. A records check showed the victim to have a valid restraining order on file with her as the protected person and Estrada as the restrained person.

Estrada came to her place of employment and physically removed her from the business and attempted to place her in his vehicle. During the incident the suspect threatened to kill her and took her cell phone that was in her possession. The victim was able to break free and call 911.

Officers later located Estrada at his residence with the victim’s cell phone in his possession. Estrada was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for kidnapping, robbery, criminal threats, spousal battery, and violation of a criminal protective order.
