An officer working in an unmarked surveillance vehicle observed Rivera spray painting gang graffiti on a trash dumpster and a nearby business. The Officer recognized Rivera as a local gang member. When officers made contact with Rivera, he admitted to the offense. During their investigation, Rivera seemed hesitant to provide information related to his current address.  Officers believed that more evidence related to Rivera’s gang affiliation maybe located at his home. When officers responded to his residence, they located a loaded shotgun in Rivera’s bedroom.
