San Francisco 49ers vs. Oakland Raiders Postgame Update

The Santa Clara Police Department would like to thank the fans, our law enforcement partners, Landmark Security and all of Levi’s Stadium personnel for making last night’s game an overall positive event. Extensive planning and preparation by City of Santa Clara staff and the San Francisco 49ers took place to ensure that fans would be able to enjoy the game with the Oakland Raiders.

As is often the case with any major sporting event, there are a few fans who misbehave. These fans were met with Levi’s® Stadium’s zero tolerance policy. The Santa Clara Police Department made 32 arrests because of their behavior. The vast majority of these arrests were for public intoxication.

Of the 32 arrests, police officers arrested three individuals for assault, including a fan-on-fan incident that was captured by fan video. The video of that incident has been widely shared on social media. The suspect in this incident was identified and arrested moments later for assault and booked at the Santa Clara County Jail. Arrest information and a photo of the suspect are attached.
