*1st Update*

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man and woman both between the ages of 65-70 years-of-age. The incident occurred at approximately 5:01 am, on Friday, November 02, 2018, on the 3600 block of Crooked Creek Drive, Diamond Bar.

Homicide detectives have learned that Walnut Station deputies responded to a residential fire while patrolling and noticed flames in the area. When deputies arrived, Los Angeles County Fire Department had extinguished the fire.  The LACFD Captain advised LASD personnel that during the search of the home and rendering it safe, two bodies along with a dog were found in the bottom bedroom of the house. It has not been verified if the two people deceased were related or if they died prior to the fire. It has not been determined how the fire was started.

Detectives are obtaining a search warrant for the residence to search the house for potential evidence. It is believed that three people are known to live at the location. The third person who may be related to the two deceased was not home at the time of the fire.  Law Enforcement is canvassing the neighborhood in an attempt to locate the third person to determine his involvement.

There is no further information available at this time.
