#017 Robbery Arrest
Officers were dispatched to Food Max on the report of a woman who fled the store after physically attacking store employees while attempting to steal canned goods.  The woman, a 23 year old adult female, was later contacted across the street and arrested after being positively identified. 
 
#027 Robbery Arrest
Officers were dispatched to Raley’s on the report of a male subject who physically resisted the store manager after attempting to steal items.  Officer Latimer was nearby and immediately responded, detained, and arrested a 39 year old male.
 
#045 Possession of Marijuana while under 21 years of age
As part of a community project responsive to resident complaints, Officer Manrique contacted a group of individuals in the area of Old Mission Park after hours.  During the stop, 16 grams of marijuana was located in the vehicle.  The group admitted to leaving marijuana behind in the playground area which was recovered.  A 20 year old adult male was cited for possession of marijuana (under 21 years old) and driving without a license.  He was released from the scene. 
 
#001 Battery on a Police Officer
At 12:44 a.m., Officers Soper and Davis were dispatched to the 4200 of Canfield Drive to a report of a male and female subject possibly prowling in the reporting party’s backyard. Upon arrival, the subjects had already left the area and a patrol of the neighborhood was conducted. Officer Soper located a subject in the area of Bell Street/Bell Common. Upon contact, the subject continually kept hiding his hands. During the contact, the male was detained and began to actively resist. The 21 year old male, Newark resident was arrested for battery on a peace officer and obstructing an executive order.
 
#003 Outside Assist/Medical Call
Officers Samayoa and Davis were originally dispatched to a report of a transient at Brookvale Shopping Center refusing to leave. An uninvolved community member flagged down the officers and pointed to an unresponsive male subject face down at the bus stop. Officers initiated CPR and deployment of the AED. The subject was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. At the time of the report, this appeared to be medical in nature. The Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to take custody of the body and handle respective notifications.

#031 Mental Health Evaluation 
At 2:11 p.m., a transient was transported for a mental health evaluation hold after punching a customer in the 5200 block of Mowry Ave.  The male did not provide his name.

#013 Theft
Officers were dispatched to the Hub Shopping Center when loss prevention officers reported a shoplifter assaulted the manager after fleeing Marshall’s carrying a suitcase filled with $500 of stolen merchandise.  Officer Richards later located a subject who matched the suspect description near the area of Blacow/Mowry.  The subject, a 57 year old adult male transient, was positively identified and arrested for theft. Case investigated by Officer Vucurevich. 
 
#014 Stolen Vehicle Arrest
At 10:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Ocaso Corte on the report of a stolen vehicle.  A male suspect took a family members vehicle without permission.    A criminal history check revealed the suspect’s license was suspended, he was on searchable probation and also restrained from the family member.  Officer Meredith briefly located the suspect driving the stolen vehicle near Ocaso Corte and Ocaso Camino, but he fled from the traffic stop.  Moments later the vehicle was located abandoned at the end of Banda.  Several officers responded to the area and the suspect was located near Quema Dr./Paseo Padre Pk.  The 25 year old male was arrested for the stolen vehicle, evading police, disobeying a court order, and a probation violation.
 
#016 Hit and Run Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the area of Argonaut Way after a vehicle crashed into a residence.  While officers were responding, witnesses reported the driver fled the scene, entered another car, and appeared to be trying to “hotwire” it.  Officers located and detained the subject, identified as a 24 year old adult male.  He was positively identified and arrested for hit and run. Case investigated by Traffic Officer Burch.
 
#029 Missing Child 
An 11 year old went missing after school at Chadbourne Elementary School.  Numerous officers and resources were dedicated to find the child and an extensive search was conducted.  Several notifications were sent out on Nixle and posted to Nextdoor and Facebook.  After about two hours, the child was located at a friend’s house about a mile away. 
 
#042 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officer Gentry arrested an 18 year old for public intoxication and outstanding warrants during a battery investigation on Donner Way.
 
#041 Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Officer Manrique responded to a strong arm robbery on Middlefield Ave. He spotted the suspect vehicle on Washington Bl. and followed it until sufficient units arrived.  A felony stop was conducted and three adults were detained.  Once the occupants were out of the vehicle, officers could see a credit card on the floorboard of the front passenger seat.  The name on the card appeared to be that of the reporting party/victim.  Two masks, a loaded and stolen handgun, and the victim’s wallet were located inside the vehicle.  The victim recanted his story after his property was located and did not wish to press charges.  An 18 year old adult male was arrested for possession of the stolen firearm. 
 
#002 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the 39000 block of Ross Commons to a report of an individual yelling and possibly banging his head on the wall of a building. They located an 18 year old adult male who was extremely intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to Santa Rita Jail.

#035 Brandishing
Officer Gentry investigated a call for a 38 year old adult male after he was reportedly brandishing a baseball bat and was yelling at people near Irvington Presbyterian Church. 
 
H1611: A transient male was reportedly disturbing customers and asking for money at Walgreens on Decoto Rd.  The subject left prior to police arrival. 
 
#036 Robbery Arrest
At 6:02 p.m., Officer Gregory arrested a 33 year old adult male transient for robbery after he punched a juvenile male and stole his cash in the parking lot of Chevron on Thornton Ave.  This suspect has been the source of several calls for service in this area recently.  Officers recognized the suspect from description and he was located a short time later behind closed businesses in Centerville. 
 
#003 Robbery Arrest
Officers were dispatched to the Valero Gas Station at Mowry/ Blacow on the report of an unruly customer.  Upon their arrival, it was determined a suspect committed a strong arm robbery of the reporting party, taking his cellular phone. Using Find my iPhone, the phone was determined to be near the 7-11 located on Sundale. Officers drove to the area and located a subject matching the suspect description. A 27 year old adult male was detained and positively identified by the victim. He was arrested and transported to Santa Rita Jail for robbery.
