Suffolk County Police last night  arrested a man after conducting a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection in Oakdale on October 30 between 7 p.m.-10 p.m..
 
Due to numerous community complaints, the Fifth Precinct Crime Section conducted an investigation into the sale of alcoholic beverages and e-cigarettes to minors at multiple locations in the Fifth Precinct.
 
Arif Yildirim, an employee of Valero Gas Station, located at 1628 Montauk Highway, Oakdale, was arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Minor 1st Degree after he sold alcohol to a minor.
 
The following establishments complied and refused to sell cigarettes and e-cigarettes to an underage police agent:
 
•   Citgo Gas Station, located at 1249 Montauk Highway, Oakdale 
•   Valero Gas Station, located at 255 Main Street, West Sayville
•   Island Hookah, located at 291 Montauk Avenue, Sayville
•   Gulf Gas Station, located at 292 Railroad Avenue, Sayville
•   Bellport Smoke Shop, located at 1640 Montauk Highway, Bellport
•   Tavares Deli and Grocery, located at 198 West Main St., Patchogue
•   USA Gas Station, located at 1365 Montauk Hwy, East Patchogue
•   M&M Food Mart, located at 1387 Montauk Hwy, East Patchogue
•   Valero Gas Station, located at 1164 Montauk Hwy, East Patchogue
•   Apple Green Gas,located at 770 Montauk Hwy, East Patchogue 
 
Yildirim, 44, of Deer Park, will be held at the Fifth Precinct is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 31, 2018.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
