Areas of dense fog are developing early this morning across southwest and central Louisiana as well as along the Sabine River Basin in southeast Texas. Visibilities could rapidly fluctuate over short distances, with occasional visibilities to one quarter of a mile or less, resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Fog is expected to lift by mid-morning. The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.
