Subject: Wanted Person – Alisha Tapia
Location: 100 block of 32nd Place Manhattan Beach, CA, 90266
On Sunday, October 21, 2018 at approximately 1:53 pm, MBPD officers responded to a call of an attempted residential burglary in the 100 block of 32nd Place in Manhattan Beach. The reporting party stated a female suspect attempted to burglarize a home under construction. The female was described as wearing a white painter’s suit and ventilator mask to disguise her identity. The residence was occupied at the time of the burglary and drew the attention of the homeowner. The homeowner chased the suspect who fled the area. Prior to fleeing, the homeowner was able to take a photo of the suspect.
MBPD detectives investigated this incident and have identified 29 year-old Alisha Tapia as the suspect. On October 24, 2018, a $1,115,000 warrant was issued for Tapia’s arrest for attempted burglary, vandalism, and possession of burglary tools.
