#010 Theft
A language barrier initially caused this case to be investigated as a robbery.  The victim left his wallet in an unlocked vehicle in the area of Mission/Mojave while he unloaded tools into a nearby business.  Upon his return to the vehicle, the victim saw a suspect flee from the scene after digging through his car and stealing his wallet.  Coincidentally, CHP responded to a man behaving strangely and running on the freeway a short time later.  The subject was in possession of the victim’s wallet and he was positively identified as being the thief.  The 22 year old adult male was taken into custody by Officer Degenstein. 
 
#020 Robbery
Officer Vucurevich was conducting a security check in the City Sports parking lot when he on-viewed a male subject brandishing a baseball bat at several other subjects.  Several officers responded to assist.  The investigation revealed that a well-known transient probationer was likely the victim of a strong-arm robbery where he was punched in the face and his bike was stolen by two other transient probationers.  At the end of the day, the victim was less than cooperative and no-one wanted to press charges.  The missing bike was recovered and all involved subjects received trespass notices to stay away from a neighboring merchant. 
 
#043 Commercial Burglary
Target at the Hub reported a male was being detained by security for attempting to walk out while wearing the store’s clothing. Officers Perry, Olvera and Paiva responded and took custody of the male. The male urinated on his person before they arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance due to a pre-existing medical condition that needed attention before he could be booked at Santa Rita Jail. The subject’s name was unknown at the time of booking.
 
#036 Public Intoxication Arrest
A well known 30 year old adult male transient was reported to be causing a disturbance at the 7-11 store located on Sundale. He was arrested by for public intoxication and transported to SRJ.
 
#037 Theft
Another well-known transient, 49 year old male, was reported to be stealing alcohol from the Safeway at the Hub again. He was arrested for theft and transported to Santa Rita Jail.

#017 Stolen Vehicle Report
A white, 2012 Ford E250 (77659E1) work van was taken sometime overnight in front of a residence located in the 400 block of Rego Court.  A business logo, Acco Engineering, is on the side doors of the van.  Officers are following up on possible surveillance footage from the area.
 
#052 Suspended Driver’s License
Officer Fuellenbach conducted a traffic stop in the area of Grimmer Boulevard and Bay Street. The driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
 
#053 Under the Influence Arrest
Officer Gregory conducted a subject stop on a 26 year old adult male in the area of Fremont Boulevard and Mowry Avenue. He was evaluated and arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
 
#045 Robbery
A female victim was pushing a shopping cart at the Fremont Hub Safeway with her purse lying within. A suspect, described as a black male adult in his 40s, 5’9”, with a  thin build, walked up to the victim from behind, pushed her, reached into the purse and stole a wallet. An employee chased down the suspect and recovered the wallet. The unknown suspect was not located.
